Truck drivers looking for CDL jobs in the New England or Mid-Atlantic region will be excited to hear about these four terminal openings. The company is opening four terminals in Pennsylvania and New York. Find out where these trucking terminals will be located and how to get hired at Saia, a trucking company in Georgia with locations nationwide.
About Four New Terminals
The four new terminals for Saia, Inc., a trucking company headquartered in Johns Creek, GA, are already open for business. These are all in the New England states and include:
- Erie, PA
- Buffalo, NY
- Albany, NY
- Philadelphia, PA
These cities are all seeing either new terminals getting constructed or the remodel and relocation of an old terminal. The relocated terminals include the one in Philly and show how well that Saia is performing. The company is expanding left and right, and that means more trucking jobs for these cities and states. What to Expect at Terminals for Saia Truckers
Saia’s Executive Vice President of Operations, Paul Peck, said the following regarding the new facility terminals. “As with all our openings, Saia teams have been working to make sure each new facility is ready to meet shipper expectations starting day one. All are fully staffed and have the necessary equipment and technology in place to service our customers.” That means you can anticipate minimal downtime or interference in your driving job as a Saia driver.
For truckers who want to be able to work for a carrier that is scaling well, this is a good indicator. After all, even if a new terminal is a great place for you to go when you come in off of the road it is not always the best when it is under construction with a remodel. Saia has managed everything for not just these four terminals but 16 new terminals since May 2017 alone. In fact, this is not the end of the openings in this year alone. Saia reports they will be opening another three terminals, this time in Southern California.
Peck discussed the individual terminals in greater detail. “Philadelphia has been a true success story for us. We have exceeded capacity at our Cinnaminson facility so it was crucial that we move in order to satisfy continued shipper demand. With more doors, the larger terminal will enable us to meet customer expectations in this thriving market for the foreseeable future. We cannot be more pleased with our expansion efforts in this region. Customers continue to see the quality and value in the service that Saia provides.”
